2025 George Begg Festival

Due to the 2025 George Begg festival being an Italian themed event, AROCNZ are endeavouring to have a co-ordinated response to this wonderful event in Invercargill. Event dates as advised by the organisers are:

  • 6pm on Thursday, 10 April 2025
  • Until 6 pm on Sunday, 13 April 2025

Please see the PDF for details on the event and ticket information.

If you are interested in attending could you please complete the registration of interest form, the results of which will give us an idea of what we need to do to bring our co-ordinated response to fruition. We won't hold you to it, but a good idea of numbers is what we need to obtain preferential pricing for accommodation.

The intent is to have as many North Islanders/Upper South Islanders hosted in Christchurch on the way through on Tuesday 8th April, with the next night Wednesday 9th April at Alexandra (we have a lovely tour from Christchurch to Invercargill planned), then on to Invercargill to enjoy a weekend of fun and frivolity! Maybe this is the South's answer to May Madness?

Once we gauge numbers, I will contact accommodation options at Alexandra and Invercargill and will then advise the pricing options.
